tears freeze

a father's imprint

impaled upon my cold heart

but respect's still warm

I love the use of impaled. That tells me how much you loved your Dad, and although your own heart is cold with the loss of loves, he still warms you. This piece tells this reader much about you. Excellent senryu Jacob.
