![]() love needs no bowA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
trope
reindeer early Christmas a rooftop full of dreams and chimneys of stardust
and yet the sled is
greased with greed fortunes in sacks that
won't fit in the edifice and there will be no
snowy morning of smiles when the dam of fortune
implodes
we are left with empty
wrappings and bows, the friends we
threw away the day after the yule
tide blew in harshly
the glitter of the
stardust disintegrated in our
gift strewn hearts.
