Sanctuary

Sanctuary

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Sanctuary

special dreamers

walls of ice

picketing

opportunity knocks

down aversion

citizens of abandonment

roots torn apart

freeze

against demeanor

Sanctuary is as difficult to grant as it is to find.
The only sanctuary I've ever really known was as a child-- under my caring father's roof
in the arms of my devoted-mother.
Stunning bit of work, J!

thank you for your kind review, Jimmy,

Roots torn apart. Those looking for opportunity to improve their lot, aren't going to find it easy. It's a hostile and cold environment.

May be I am 100 percent wrong... But don't know why my thoughts goes on to that migratory workers who left their motherland for better opportunities.... Fight for their right against all cold responses and somehow make their living....

Always my pleasure....
I have read this four times and it leaves me cold and perhaps that is the intention. It sounds as though some people are unfeeling, use others and then move on. But each time I read this it takes me somewhere new.
