Buddy and Friends

Buddy and Friends

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Buddy and Friends

a song perished

in an Iowa cornfield

soon after taking off on the charts

a cold winter night

played on my '45

endlessly

the turntable of my heart

spinning achingly

I was nine and counting

tapping my feet

to his music

just yesterday.
