A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

and then...

the eggplants are shimmering in the frosted

sunscreen

high-definition droplets

on the shivering plants

the lazy daffodils droop drearily

the cold spring bitter

from last summer's unwelcome intrusion

storm rains burst on to the scene

havoc wreaked with damaging deluge

a flood of anger

spring wants its time

dare to muscle it out with calm skies

it will reply.

I enjoyed the read, Jacob. To Spring or not to Spring, that is the question, whether it is nobler in the season's eye to take up umbrellas and raincoats, scarves and thermal underwear or to wait out the thaw with the furnace on in hibernation. I'll probably choose the latter as often as possible. This cold rain has my bursitis and arthritis aching. All my joints are making their points that I'm no Spring chicken anymore.

I really like your takeoff of Hamlet...thank you for your very creative review,

Yes, in thunder's storms that shall bring forth life, anew ...

Needless to say, I enjoyed this contemplatively meditative write of your heart and mind set to pen of page ...

thank you, duff,

You bring seasons to life....it's not fair that our daffodils and other blooms are dying because of these floods and cold snaps...spring is desperately trying to nudge winter out!
Well said, J

Weathering can be cruel, whether we like it or not.

absolutely...thank you, M.
Mother Nature has been bipolar this year all over the world. Because of the warmer weather, the flowers started to show their faces and then there was frost again. You paint the picture perfectly, Jacob. Lydi**

Maybe winter and spring have retired and we are dealing with something else. Something bipolar. Anybody have some spare lithium?
