Oh, that egg shell logic. Self doubt is so destructive. Tell me about it. Those gators are fearsome. The flowers are so
much nicer when they are in full bloom and smile at you.
in looking at our lives, it is amazing how often our dreams are or have been eaten by self-doubt, truly a monster of a gator... why is that I wonder?? is it our dreams are just fantasy, there to drown our hopes in that moat?? or is it our own thinking that keeps those dreams at arm's length?? in some ways, when we walk or ride away; when we cast aside the roses, we are also giving up to the hardships and failures in life. Thank you, Jacob, for your poetry.

That moat of self doubt is one b***h. Once its face is gazed upon, the gators make their entrance and the flowers start closing. Don't even think about a siege; that castle is now up for lease.
I think this is wonderful! It has great imagery and terrific lines that I wish I had thought of. I think we all get to this point, we just get a tough hide with time.
