ember junction

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

ember junction

arranging feelings in order

of disorder

chaotic impulses

denying not an option

with grief

as it accumulates

ashes upon ashes

like a cigarette lying in an ashtray

I am a burnout

smoked emotions

the flavor of life

filtered out

along with a taste for it

myself.

This has a taste of darkness that works for me. Most of my recent philosophy seems to convince me that I waited too late in life the get a philosophy. Nicely done. ~Jim

Your poetry is full of philosophy now, Jim.
And it is deep...a ponder.

Yes at some stage of our lives we begin to slow down regardless, its acceleration health depending. Another clever write Jacob. Enjoyed this one.

Yep ... grief is necessary but it should be an act in itself and never power other acts. So nice to read you again.
