intruder

intruder

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

intruder

disavow your feelings

into that dark chasm

where you reside

let the sun undress your spirit

with wafts of shine

and love

and bat your eyelashes in victorious illusion

because it all might become

a real smile.

Some of us dwell in moments of moodiness or melancholy. We feel the weight of the world on our shoulders many times.

But often if we pretend to be happy or feel the sun on our souls we do truly feel it inside as well.

Ooooh, I like this one. Mysterious and compelling. It's early in the AM for me, so I may not yet be grasping your entire meaning here just yet, but I'll be sure to revisit this one later. Cheers Jacob.
