whispers in the ?

whispers in the ?

A Poem by InsidiousRain

there she sits
across the room
her profile entirely graceless

her eyes
her lips
the soft curves of her body.

repeated exclamations of her efortless beauty
she denies,
unbelieveing.

i love you
she averts her eyes
blushes

she says,
i love you more

the moments of silence
pleasantly empty
comforting

but yet i ask,
what have i done
to deserve this?

this reminds me of someone i work with, one of my colleagues...she has such a wispy beauty and softness about her...electric...and yet she considers herself so humbly...makes her more beautiful.
