Constance, with the rainbows in her hair,

just wants to take her girlfriend to the prom.

Will she be the one to wear the tux

or

will they come in dresses pixie dust?

While Tot Mom takes party pics

in a blue dress, conquering the shot.

Will she be the one who finally confesses

or

will she keep her mouth tight shut?

Brandon Boyd had nothing better to do

than create Incubus with his guitar.

Will they dance to moonlight near and far

or

will they hide from the dark?

We were all astonished when we heard

of Anna Nicole's jasmine legacy.

Will she watch over us with angel eyes

or

will she focus on the lies?

Haven't you heard?

"Well behaved women rarely make

history."

This pome realy spoke to me. We create plastic heroes to gloat over when we aren't kneeling in the gutter to our garbage can gods. People(or should I say sheeple?) amaze me how they run to the stores and buy these tabloids and make passion plays out of somebodys life just because they are in a reality tv show or something like that. Its become more than our culture its become our mythology. A thousand years from now if civilization is still around and archaeoligists are digging everything up from this era, they will come to the conclusion that we were a strange people who worshipped a goddess named paris hilton. Kind of sad and pathetic isn't it?

I love this poem and I love how you used that great quote for the last line of you poem. Marilyn Monroe was quite the wild child. i love how you used the word to incorporate them into a poem about things in the news. This poem flowed nicely. Great job.
