Sapphire Afflictions

Don't tell me what pain is

as you keep your chary thighs

closed and dismiss me

because I cannot.

There's a riddle here

somewhere,

a morsel of delight

enraptured by kisses.

But those moments of joy

are long ago

when I could still pretend

I craved the touch of a man.

I'll be your advocate

your best girlfriend

but don't tell me

what pain is.

As he kisses you

goodnight

and you close

your sapphire eyes.

I loved this poem. This is a poem that has hurt and pain within the text but is done subtly. Great write.
