Views of Erica

A Poem by Erica Ross

The views of me become the blues of me

The abuse of me

The scrutiny,

Absolutely.

The views of me

Some you may never see

Because they are hidden somewhere beneath me,

It takes a strong person to reach me.

Arrive there and you will see,

the views of me

Some poetically

Prophetically.

Pathetically, Sympathetically

I allow you to see

the many different angles

of this single soul, you see..

If you could show me, me in a different view

Well I would swear that I've never known you

To see a place in me

That I have yet to be

You're different to me

You see differently

For you have welcomed me

to a new view of me.

I was inspired by the picture on my wall entitled, "Views of Paris."
Bare with me, this is my first poem in about a month. Lol.

We all have hidden aspects of us that only a few are allowed to see. Letting people in can be difficult at times and this poem shows all those elements perfectly.
