Until the end of time

Until the end of time

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

Dwelling in the memory

Resting assured that you hear me

Everything said

Words written

Work of one smitten

By desire

Wanting to hold you

While

Memorizing the very nature of you

Your hand forever etched in my mind

Yet, were we just killing time

Fodder for lyric?

Expendable no longer worthy?

Non-qualifying a response?

They say the truth shall set you free

Yet, I've still not heard it

Inability to allow closeness

Ability to remain aloof and adrift in this world

In the end, who suffers?

In the end, who matters?

Music of one's soul most beautiful

Not trite

Yet, suffering through all of the mess

What did you learn

What did I see

Other than that we were not meant to be?

Forever remaining friends

Until the end of time

I spent more than my share

While you spent none on mine.

About
I am chemically imbalanced and therefore this makes me cranky. MY name is not really Eunice, nor am I from the Crankyponts family. Simply put - Pseudonym. I have always enjoyed writing and decided .. more..
