Do You Still Make Music for Me?

Do You Still Make Music for Me?

A Poem by Ella Emergency

I can see you in my sleep

But you’re blurred by tears

And now I’m all alone

To face my lonely fears

I suppose I should drop it

We can’t return to where we were

Young and in love: forever, and

“I might just love you, sir”

But emotions are deceiving

And talk is so f*****g cheap

When you’re under the covers

And rolling around in the sheets

I know it’s not all my fault

Because you couldn’t be a man

But still I really meant it

When I said I’m your biggest fan.
