A Poem by Mackenzie

Inspiration

Lost

that's what he is

Running

from what he isn't sure

Star gazing

On a night he can barely remember

Wasting his youth

On cheap booze and fast sex

He doesn't see

oh, he's really got potential

He doesn't know

I'm watching his mistakes

I like this piece.
It sounds like the internal monologue of a secret admirer, who herself lacks the courage to take initiative in bettering the life of her love. Many dimensions to explore. That's just my take on it.
Thanks for sharing!
