To Speak

To Speak

A Poem by EvnStill

In a moment of despair,

When the weight of the world was felt,

When darkness sunk into my heart,

You were there.

To comfort and to love

To sit with me in silence

And in that moment, I had to tell you

But I could not speak

I could only move

So with movement, I spoke

With my lips against yours, I told you:

That I needed you,

Because I do.

That I loved you,

Because I do.

And with movement, you responded

And assured me that I was heard
