Redemption Aftermath Beforehand

Redemption Aftermath Beforehand

A Poem by Eyeliner Rebel Boy
"

A man pleading a bargain with Death.

"

"Is it me or am I merely accused?

I cannot choose between life and death.

My soul is tender as my flesh."

He mutters,

"Though your bones I love to shatter and break

Having the heart for war is what you lost.

Details, details, your mind it wanders

Depicting every little aspect of what you are not."

Sloth, Glutton,

No hope in sights of Paradiso,

Bottled up on a f****n shelf

Along with all the other mason jars;

So seldom he collects.

"The days before were chrysanthemums of ruby red

With butterflies by the migrations,

Your time now sees cobwebs and moths by the legions.

I am here to pull on your strings as does everyone else.

You put the effort towards humanity

Giving away all that is you

So selfless to the point that you diminish

Depleting more each and every day.”

But, “I can find a way, give the mortal a bargain”

Says the man with the mask,

With his wings out on a prayer.

Knives, swords, transparent white

Never knowing if all fades to black.

In this coma not yet forgiven;

Capillaries constrict, chest caving in,

Cerebral dislocation to this evaluation.

Stop hurting, start healing,

Can you grasp the feeling that life is precious?

Don’t take it in vain, live without shame

No need to exclaim,

What people accomplish is sometimes transient

Though they try

People can laugh or

People can cry

Some live on and some may die

Find your strengths stick with them for we are living forever eternal.
