Alone

What would you know of suffering?

Of the darkness that taints the soul

With emotions of hatred and anger

Turning away from the cold stares

Silently begging for them to stop

Tears cascading down my face

The loneliness keeps consuming me

Crying out for someone to save me

Because the light is starting to fade

The path keeps getting darker and darker

And the thorns start to strangle what’s left

Why is it I’m always alone?
