Flooding Hearts

Flooding Hearts

A Poem by Faith Knoll
"

This is the beginning of my thoughts....

"
You and me
We were poetry
Until toxic jealousy
became a stream
Flooding the hearts of you and me
I held on to what wasn't meant to be
Who I used to be
I can't pretend to still be

An hour of counseling in a few lines. Well done.

I just wanna say this title was recommended to me by another writer in the cafe but their comment was deleted in a mix-up! So thank you again to whoever you are!

Poetry can be forgotten. Foolish actions can even kill a Poet's heart. A journey with a sad ending in the poetry dear Faith. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
