How Could You

How Could You

A Poem by Faith Kinnison

How Could You?

How could you do this to me?

How could you touch someone else?

How could you make love to someone else?

Didn't you think of me?

What you were doing to me?

Now, you act like you're sorry

Like you want me back

How could you even think I could forgive you?

Do you think I can even look at your face?

Without seeing her

Do you think I can ever forget what you did?

I wish I could

I wish I could pretend none of this ever happened

Sometimes, I even wish I were dead

But I'm not

I think about you, and I feel sick to my stomach

You ask me to be your friend,

but how can I even look at you?

I can't listen to you,

talk to you,

or even be near you
