For one fleeting moment
Took stock
In what I want
Time devoted
Admiring from afar
Feelings denoted
What I think we are
Meant for one another
I feel it in my soul
But you're with some other
In my wanted role
To spend one night
Of our envisioned life
To bring into light
What it's like with you as my wife
From this point
Things looked up
This role now me you appoint
Frightened as a pup
Inexperienced, scared, yet determined
To be the man I need to be
Together all our time we spend
Forever are we
Through thick and thin
All the ups and downs
Even when
There were less smiles than frowns
Against the odds
Paranoia fought
Creating no facades
Together we're still brought
Every single day
I know that you're mine
Every single way
I see your beautiful shine
I laugh and I smile
I enjoy it all
My feelings I compile
Not in the slightest small
