Broken Mirrors

Broken Mirrors

A Poem by Tallulah
"

NaPo#....i don't even know anymore

"

Am I the only one that sees

Your fake reflection

As you bow down endlessly?

Pretending to be

Everything you're not

I see you

For what you are

A liar

You're misleading the world

Staring into your broken mirror

You see that distorted reflection

And You're convinced

That's who you are

You know what you've become

Don't wanna see what you really are

Looking into that broken mirror

Fake reflection staring back

I wish with all my heart

That it wasn't me.

Love it!! The symbolism of a broken mirror is such a good analogy for as superficial as described in the poem. However the last two lines allude to you also being the subject of the poem. Either way, the wording and the form is very good.

That's a very strong statement.
I love it.
I see people who fit that description perfectly all the time
and I'd love to help them, but it's them who has to help themselves.
Excellent write!

Very interesting. I really like this one a lot :3
Just one thing, in a few spots you used "you're" when you should have used "your". Inner editor kicking in. XD
Other than that, it was really great! Nice work!
