eternal love

a poem i wrote for my one true love

sit back an read as my heart bleeds through this pen,

I said I loved you an have tired to get you off my mind,

Just to stay awake at night an cry everytime i thought about telling you goodbye,

You gave birth to our frist son then turned an let me go,

I've kept the flame I put in your eyes deep inside,

Waiting for the day I could make it reignite,

Now your single an so am I,

Baby I'm done making you cry,

This time I'll love you like I should, Take you to the top with these simple words I write,

An I'll do it not only cause I can but because it's what a lady like you deserves,

I know I've made mistakes but baby that was when I was in the game,

I'm nolonger that way,

I'm looking for the one that I can take to forever,

So just grasp my hand an these soiled wings will carry us through to better days.
