The fire of love, anger and everything in between

The fire of love, anger and everything in between

A Poem by Franklin Fantauzzi

Behind the fire, the rage and the hate
Lies the fragile state of who I am
The soul that dies a little with every thought, move and desire
But grows with every look, word and thought that comes from you

I am a spartan of war
A beacon of love
A demon of hate
A hermit of loneliness, but none by choice

I am a lot of questions that will never be answered

I can never distinguish if my thoughts are really my own or just the devil inside my head, my heart and my soul

For you are the sun, the north star and the earth, shining, guiding and growing each day

I am the moon, seemingly alone but only ever shining in your light

I burn with the passion of a thousand hearts of lovers

I burn with anger and hate that no demon in hell can compare to

I burn with the desire to desire

And I will continue to burn until I am nothing more than ashes
