Surrender 

I'm drawn to his breath near my neck,

 His words in my heart I have no strength to reject.

Can't say no, can't turn away,

Because his closeness and words make me sway.

His whispers are cozy, like a warm embrace, 

Making me feel in a special place.

I can't hide my feelings, they're strong and true, 

His words and touch make me feel brand new.

A weakness inside that's hard to hide, 

His breath, his words, feel just right. 

In his arms, I find comfort and peace,

Letting love in like a warm embrace.

This is a wonderful romantic piece of Poetry ... Cling to the romance of youth for as long as you can, for things get better in moving towards old age, as we learn some things about one another, but the fires burn lower and seem a bit dimmer as the coals of the fire that was my wife and I grew dimmer, but never burned out, for it is a bed of coals that make for the best heat in the night, and not that raging fire of youth burning so bright, but so it did seem so at that time in our youth, my wife of 49 years and I, and every time I think her, I cry, as I lost her to COVID January 7, 2022 ... Treasure what you have ... Never let it go ... Nourish it, and it will always grow stronger ... Our love grew to 5 children strong ...
