Your breath, my breath

Your breath, my breath

A Poem by fatalsymphonies

Your breath is carved across my chilled cheeks,
don't you remember your kindness that I cherished?
You always heard the calls between my skin that brewed
as the hotness of your breath landed on my skin.

You smiled and asked to hear more, I know you did,
while the sun warmed my eyes and you lifted me under the water,
smiles across your face with sunlight.

Your possessions are carved into my skin, perfect streaks that sting with air,
your breath, my breath, don't you see that?
What's mine is yours, and what's yours
is yours...

But you can never take away from me what you've left me with,
your breath, my breath,
you can never dissolve all the things you've said, like warm sand squished
underneath my toes, but only as they sunk between yours.

You can never lose the moonlit nights you cried my name, tears rolling down
like kisses of moonlight to crave your lips like a dream I'll never live.
Don't pretend you don't feel it, I know you did care like I did,
as you took me in your arms, warmth wrapping around my body
like a blanket of your arms, welcoming me,
just like they always did.

Ohhhh my. This is lovely, and heart wrenching. Beautiful tragic images. And so sensuous. I like this a very very lot. :)

Absolutely perfect. Your breath, my breath...sets the tone. From there just a great expression of that give, give of relationships:) I smiled at the fourth stanza, the things that they can never get back...oh I love it..and so true.. There are some things we get to keep and treasure.. And on those quiet moonlit nights, they do call out our names :) xxx love it..
