live without shame.

live without shame.

A Poem by Faati Jaan

against the stone cold wall,
she is encompassed by the silence
as she glances at each shadow-draped corner
that symbolizes the holes in her that have not been filled,
except with her guilt that they exist.
looking up, she finds her reflection:
hair, eyes, nose, lips, skin....body-
eyes avert quickly and her face feels heavy.
who am i?
she asks the air.
what have i done?
what right do i have to be?
feeling within her the answer,
she lifts her pen
and on her wrist she writes:
NO SHAME
i live without shame.

This is a wonderful empowering poem. I like how it's flow, how it starts with imagery and then transistions into introspection of the self. The ending sums it up and shows us the power of your ink here.

Great Work!
