I'll never let you go

I'll never let you go

A Poem by Faati Jaan

I just want you to love me.
Is that too much to ask?
Or has your thinking of me
become a daily task?
What happened to our moments,
the nights we stayed awake,
and fell asleep smiling
at each other's sake?
I knew when I first saw you
your smile triggering the start
that you were something different
that would shape my lonely heart.
And every second of the day
my mind lingered on you.
I guarantee you it still does.
Are you thinking of me too?
I know that what we have
isn't easy to keep alive,
especially with this distance,
but my feelings will survive
because you've changed me for the better
like no one I know could,
I'll never let you go..

No, I'll never let you go.

This piece is easy to relate to and has a wonderful flow - which is an attribute I greatly appreciate in poetry. Truly beautiful words formed to fabricate a lovely poem with a lyrical twist.
Great write.
