Author's Note

This is the first chapter of a short story / novella. It was originally intended as character background for a novel but grew into something interesting so I decided to go into more detail. It’s the first of possibly 3-5 chapters detailing the experiences of a character as she reaches the point we meet her in the original novel (so a prequel of sorts) Ellipsis is written entirely in narrative with no dialogue. let me know your thoughts on the character and style!
