Hurt

This poem is about doubt and how it can overwhelm us if we let it.

Is this doubt?

Feelings that tell you 

you need to improve, and change.

Feelings that tell your heart not to do it,

Not to trust because you've been hurt.

Is this Doubt?

Two people who have history but are "Just friends".

A message being subliminally sent,

Not from the guy, but the girl.

Thoughts contradicting one another

Making you question if feelings are reciprocated. 

You hope they are, and think they are, but there's

Doubt.

Is this Love?

The feeling that you want to protect, and guide.

The things that make you want to be there for them

Throughout any struggle, mental or physical.

The way, when you talk, you feel that it is the only place

you are safe from judgement, and can be yourself.

I wonder.

I love.

Yet I doubt.
