Hush

Hush

A Poem by ferousfinite

Hush
smiles forced on your face
wearing linen and lace
miles of the wanted
with your ideas undaunted

you front on me
you lie to me
you despise me
you deny me

yet you sit there
and stare
like nothing is the matter
when you are the tatter

here I will be
the one who couldn't see
or hear your words of muck
and now I am struck

by your fake smiles
and your phony yarn
your potions and vials
and illusive magical darn

I accept you with ignorance
and these stories of truth
but my brilliance
sees right through your uncouth

just tell me you hate me
instead of you loath me
stop the lying
and start trying

be open and true
and I will trust you
throw away this shrew
and give up this You!

put down your grief
and take up your belief
remember who you are
you can't go too far

do not rush
for you know not
take this
and hush.
