My Undoing

My Undoing

A Poem by Fighter/Lover

Today was my undoing.
Only goes from bad to worse.
The world never changes.
Always against me.
I give you my all
And get nothing in return.
I let you go in hopes i can forget
All the secrets we've shared.
All the laughter.
You'd given me hope....

Then took it away.
I'm not sure why
I feel the way I do.
But it wont go away.
I fake a smile around you.
Because you don't seem phased.
I shut down.
And you go on living.
