"
you lie there,
disconnected. on the
ash-stained linoleum, of your
dreary studio apartment. 

blues and reds paint
the walls.
dancing; pulsating.
something so familiar
can't seem to recall
the last part.

a siren's lulling,
crying through
speeding through
the night.
a frantic concerto,
pleading 
"you cant go home"

under the double latched
inornament 
steel door
pill bottle shadow spires
and candlestick cityscapes
ordain spiritspilt floor

the radio tower light
blinking softly
in the corner
a reset kitchen
timer

i could have
swore, i had more
