teeter

teeter

A Poem by Everett Dulin

i think,
when the bridges collapse.
succumbing to the pressure,
will be a beautiful thing.

to be retaken,
by the pit beneath.
a selfish temptation,
might just be worthwhile.

i encircle the rim,
leaving markings as i go.
the edge of everything,
to glance a peek below.

a desire path,
my feet have burrowed.
again, ive stepped here before,
unsure of which way to go.
