that goddamned corner in my room

that goddamned corner in my room

A Poem by Everett Dulin

i fear that ive gone mad
every interaction, my first and last
has been painfully removed
occupying not a single synapse

its been 1 year
2 months and
23 long forgotten days
since i was human

each day as insignificant
as my surgical interventions
and clinical retakes, and those learned lessons
all to be forgotten

you ever see those,
writers romanticizing loneliness?
sometimes i do and think
damn how am i missing out?

Your best poems are those with titles as if they were Lana Del Rey's song.
I liked how you used medical terms here
Your mixed writing style is very strong

I'm close to turning into one of the poets who romanticized loneliness, I'll explain to you what you missing
