57 Night Blitz

57 Night Blitz

A Poem by James Paulin

Luftwaffe hordes drone a dirge

eager searchlights pierce ink black skies

sirens wail through city streets

magnificent London wakes trembling

whistles thud into infernos

random ruin in various places

disasters outnumber dispatches

beneath rubble, wounded innocents

Nazi fist swings steadily

Oh bravo James! A tragic story brought to light again
so eloquently. Great imagery indeed and submission for Tovli's contest.
Much enjoyed my friend. ~ Helena
