Aspire

Aspire

A Poem by James Paulin

Initiate momentum to begin

Commit oneself is essential

Seek pure harmony within

Plan to reach full potential

Day by day pay the price

Set the goal ever higher

Expect tremendous sacrifice

No less than best always require

Excellence, its own reward

Recognition, a fickle light

Satisfaction is a self award

Success fulfills dreamed insight

Following stars, a noble affair

Well lived a life, one may declare

A great inspiring work, short and succinct. It's true, satisfaction, reaching the highest goals brings a self award and most people don't give themselves enough credit. Set the bar high by all means but ensure that pat on the back for achievements gained.

These are positive goals and intentions, to be sure, and descriptive of much that we should aspire to.

We can all aspire to be more than what we are huh? But I think more people day dream than aspire to be more, to be great, to be just anything but what they are. No one really tries.

A hearty tribute to success won only through perseverance and sacrifice. I wish more people realized that goals are achieved through commitment and hard work versus riding the coattails of others. Nicely done.
