Inspired by my husband and his love for me.

Red is..

The color of love..

The color of he who ignites my hearts desire…

To sing a song and write a poem...

To dream of happily ever after..

I am swept away in his arms.

 

My beloved is….

Red is the color of his scent and my heart skips a beat

At the touch of his lips on my skin

Lips made of honey entangled in his fiery red love

Hands and hearts wrapped in red passionate touch.

 

Red is..

The color of our sheets embracing our bodies

Crushed and marked by loves touch

Lingered scents of passionate red

His touch and her sighs

His strength and her surrender

Fiery red.

 

My beloved is..

Eden’s essence recreated, united as one flesh

Gods passionate call for love is…

He and her.

Tangled lips and looks, skin and sighs.

Red is the color of love…

Even the love of God..

Red blood..

Purified love..

Eternal love.

Over a year married, and I still feel like I just fell in love with him...he is my beloved.

That is a lot of red. I like the piece. Good description of what you have. Personally, I always feel like love is the color of blue. Red is for lust (be it passionate within a love one feels or simply animalistic urges), but blue is the calm that we feel with that special someone that we love. That blue becomes deeper the longer we are with that someone and settles over us like a warm, worn blanket that can not be thrown out for any reason. Comforting and inviting.

What a heartfelt poem. (no pun intended) - I've been married FO EVA (20 years almost) and I deeply love my husband - but I think romance is the most difficult thing for me to pen. This is warm and romantic and lush...Nicely done.
