for my brother.

I remember when we used to play together
and there was nothing between us but love.
I took care of you and you gave me your friendship
Now you are gone.

Sometimes your ghost appears on the other end of the phone line
and you reach out to me and its as if
you are back again for a moment
but only to lose you again.
I miss your face and your laughter
So my heart wears black
in a room where no one enters.

Compartmentalized memories
a flash of the past
but now its only regrets
and even anger at times.
You left suddenly as if God took you away.
so I mourn you daily and yet you're only just a call away.

i write your Eulogy today
and send a prayer to heaven
Perhaps some day we'll meet again and
see eye to eye.
Until then I have memories of us
when we loved each other as sister and brother
unconditionally and you and I were
just 2 old friends.
