Silent screams

Silent screams

A Poem by fliptheskript

Started building a wall
from the time I was small
a house that never felt like home
so I found places to roam
places to help me forget
people encountered or met
finding ways to escape
while molding my life into shape
Entering battle without a sword
vulnerable to this world
A girl bitter that was once sweet
because everything appears full of deceit
yet I promised my life will not be forsaken
even though innocence has been taken
how I cope is my choice
and one day I will find my voice
