Sail Away

Sail Away

A Poem by fluffythoughts
"

a little poem

"
One day I'll sail away, across the oceans, across the sea,
In a paper boat, made just for me.

Travelling to a place i’ve never been,
Somewhere elsewhere, yet to be seen.

I’ll sail through the daytime and throughout the night,
Beneath the stars, under moonlight.

I’ll sail away from the houses, away from the trees,
Away from the cities, away from the kings and queens.

I’ll drift away from the people, away from it all,
Passed the singing sirens, passed the whales call.

I won’t be looking back, no need.
Soon I’ll find you and only then, will I be free.

Great poem. I love the flow and rhythm. There's a whimsical feel to it, as well. Great voice here. I love the ending...I won’t be looking back, no need.
Soon I’ll find you and only then, will I be free.

Beautiful.
