rats

rats

A Poem by S.T. Gulik
"

One selection from an unpublished poem collection entitled "Vermin."

"

Nothings lost forever.

Sometimes isn't
never better than the fiend forever.

Forever's almost never right,

but wrong just wrongs the rightness

of the rats rights to the ceiling

and all of the darkened brightness.

And since the rats and brats have eyes

to see the dark has brightness,

then doesn't that just go to show you

all the wrongs of rightness.
