kaleidoscope apocalypse

kaleidoscope apocalypse

A Poem by Cardinal Robin

kaleidoscope  apocalypse

Summer river overflowing

I’ve got a song to sing,

bring all your sisters

and your brothers,

and bring me

a strong drink

Take a look at what we’ve done

we’ve forgotten how to live our lives

by the cycles of the Moon and Sun

Follow happy forest trails

as far as the eye can see

Take a minute by the Oceans

hold her hand! It’s a sandy mystery

Take a look at what we’ve done

we’ve forgotten how to live our lives

by the cycles of the Moon and Sun

Hold an image of the wildlife in your heart

rail against insanity,

we gone too far how can this be

and the Mountains sleep like silent sages

The fire in your lies burned the memories

of the dreams of your future

with healthy children

not laying in political alleys

selling their flesh wares

to uncle sam’s treasury

Take a look at what we’ve done

we’ve forgotten how to live our lives

by the cycles of the Moon and Sun

I won’t wake up tomorrow

not if there will be so much

can this world support everyone in sorrow

after all, WHO has the Midas touch?

Brothers sisters you are golden

and I know I’d like to keep this LIGHT

This song for everyone, you and me ……eeeeeeeeeeeEEE

Stop the KILLING

Stop the BOMBING

Stop the HATING

Stop the RAPING

of ANYONE

aaaaa       nnnn   yyyy   oooooooo   nnnnnnnnnnnnnn eee

aaaaa       nnnn   yyyyyy  oooooooo   nnnnnnnnnnnnnn eee

aaaaa       nnnnn    yyyyyy   oooooooo nnnnnnnnnnnnn eee

We are the FIELDS Dry and Fallow

and I a simple Swallow…

Eeek!
I am so happy to see this, the name of my bestie, also the name of a beautiful and wise work of art!

EXCELLENT! ^.^

Love these lines:

"Take a look at what we've done
we've forgotten how to live our lives
by the cycles of the Moon and Sun"

So true! My life cycle is BACKWARDS... Or sometimes non-existent...
Still haven't gone to sleep... lol.
As always, LOVE YOUR WORK! ^.^

This poem gives me hope... ^.^

These three lines say it all.
Just take a look at what we've done...

Brilliant

YES!!!! Good for you!! Nothing but praise for this, even the repetition chorus-type verse has so much to say.
Loved it!!!

I can clearly see the message comnig across here. Lmfao.

That also may be to obvious, but I do enjoy reading while I hear a certain tone in my head..
A sort of creepy yet kind and warm voice that flows along with this poem..

Amazing of course.

Robin,

I see a distinct change in
the tone of your writing lately.

Less playful... more
passionate..
your voice is louder..
yet softer.

This is a brilliant write..
Our lack ...
lack of understanding,
compassion, love..
oneness.

instead..
we spew hate.

What have we become...?
Or have we always been?

I really do love
the tone ....

What a splendid way to cry out against the ravages of this world and ourselves. You should put this to music and see where it goes. Well done.

Trippy...

Whatever you're smokin' share some...

you can really write and drum up emotions here. I like how you are able to experiment with a new topic concept, and sound like well like a hippie in this piece.

All fundemantal stats are in excellent condition doctor, work is well done, read, digested, and enjoyed, this is a good piece.

This is a fantastic song. On the second reading, I added in a "Momma's and the Pappaw's", retro 60's score as I was reading....and it was a home run. This is terrific. With some tweaking here and there, I can really see this as a popular folk blues piece. On the chorus...the second line has 1 too many beats in it. The meter is off just a tad. Very nice.
