forget

forget

A Poem by foufa la perle

I tried my best to forget
to let go with no regrets
but it seems like forgetting..
is just a different way to remember.

And every time I look back
I always try to capture the best
but it seems like it was all left
just to look for the better.

And here we are again
you're only a few steps away
but it feels like you're on another planet..

I only wish if we had a chance
to talk about what was left..
what we left, just to look for the better.

But all of that is just a different way to remember,
don't you remember?

(A mess of a dreamer)

This is very clever Foufa - its like a tongue twister for the grey matter
lots of wit and charm and a dash of melancholy too - the ideal poem :)

It was really great of you to pass by and leave me this perfect review! I never really thought about.. read more
"you're only (a) few steps away" or perhaps you don't need to define (few) how man steps? the impact is just as real

...an urban cityscape - neon lights reflected in the distance ...the sounds of hidden traffic, hidden life. Sitting on a stoop, heavy head - glistening, slowly moving, unfocused life-full eyes, part of the shadows - IS a shadow... a shadow remembering - the sun.

The power within YOUR thoughts brings others to find their own ...and THAT is poetry.
