Pool of Sorrows

Pool of Sorrows

A Poem by Franky Martinez

Drowning,
I scream for help but I am alone.
Nothing around to catch the echoes of my voice but darkness.
I've ran out of tears but the loud screams bring me a sense of relief as
I slowly give in to the numb feeling that drains all the courage
I once held in my heart.
Life's scars tore my skin deep.
The blood flows, gently running through a leak left on my flesh forced
to become empty.
Now watch me as I doze off, undetected.

Sorrow can feel like drowning. I like the strength in the statements.
"The blood flows, gently running through a leak left on my flesh forced
to become empty."
When we bleed in life. Allowed us to know we lived once. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
