Dear Abby, my dragons hate peanut butter

Dear Abby, my dragons hate peanut butter

A Poem by Francis Rosenfeld

Dear Abby,

My dragons hate peanut butter!

I wish I could convince them to eat it every now and then because

it is so good for them,

it makes their scales supple,

it makes their eyes glow,

it is the perfect health food.

The gremlins liked it,

I spread it on their tofu crisps and they ate it right up.

But the dragons...

Oh, how I tried!

I mixed it in their morning embers,

baked it in their cattle crunchies,

they always turn their snouts at it and whine it gives them bad breath.

Brush, I said,

floss,

but you think they're listening?

I can't come to terms with the fact that

the sweet darlings are missing out on a great source of protein.

Any advice?

I'd really like for them to start eating better.

Regards,

Francis
