We Live to Love

We Live to Love

A Poem by Francis Rosenfeld
"

The winds of time push us around, we live to love.

"

The winds of time push us around, we live to love.

There are no secrets to reveal we haven't found.

From time's beginning life resounds familiar sounds,

it's all inside, it's all outside, we're sacred grounds.

With trivial flout we hollow out our hallowed heart

and fail to see our soul's birth right,  eternal clout,

we wear our tribulations out though draped in light,

we rise and fall and rise again against all doubt.

There's one commandment for the heart, a solemn troth:

it's all for love or all for naught, no middle ground.

All has been said and has been done before we start

but love keeps Heaven over head and time aligned.

We move about, question our lot, tire our mind

and get disheartened by the wear of daily grind

when life is simple, clear and kind, a single sound,

we live to love, we live to love, we live to love.
