Please don't touch me

Please don't touch me

A Poem by Whiles

I’ll stand
two feet away from you
when you go
after coming up just to see my show
and tell you “safe trip”
and not mean it
and say nothing in return
when you say “I love you”

because when I was a little girl
you were so afraid of me
that you called the police
to take me away from you
and they took me
to a place that smelled like medicine and looked like
a prison
and I wept
but no one sent me home.

A pretty good poem; you can catch the speakers back story very well.
