tongue caught between clacking teeth,
and i feel my words stumbling,
sliding over my wind-chapped lips without a glance back.

the accidental words sit limply on the earthen floor,
staring at us with their glassy eyes and ugly faces,
as if daring either of us to challenge their existance.

you pause that awkward length of time,
where i can't tell if you're going to side-step my faux pas,
or take note and make me remember this moment forever...

and then you take note,
my stomach sinks,

and you lay into me for all my spewed thoughts.

I like this a lot my friend :)
I must say the way that it almost weaves in and out of the main subject is fascinating
