learning you

learning you

A Poem by freelancejouster

a million miles away,

but close enough to touch,

to caress and memorize

distinguish veins from arteries,

creases from wrinkles,

dried out skin from calluses,

i want to learn it all,

the rough, the smooth

the difficult.

i'd press to share your secrets,

but i want them to come easily,

to flow from you as presents,

small gifts of connectivity.

so i'll just keep pressing

at your walls

in hope they're not made of concrete.

Lovely. "A million miles away, but close enough to touch" Like trying to capture a beautiful butterfly. Sometimes, just sometimes, If you are patient and cautious enough, it will alight on your palm of its' own free will. beautiful write.

This is beautiful. The way you express your helplessness is so powerful.

at your walls

in hope they're not made of concrete.
